The new 25 m community swimming pool that the new Palmer Park leisure centre and stadium will open to the public next week from Monday 19 December.
Green Councillor Josh Williams said, “Since the Labour-run council closed Arthur Hill swimming pool in east Reading six years ago Green councillors have been pressing to get a public swimming pool back in the area. We are looking forward to it finally opening.
“At the moment Reading residents can sign up for a free Resident Card, to access 30% of the standard prices (with 50% for concessions). For a limited time only, people signing up for centre only memberships at Palmer Park can take advantage of membership for £24 per month.”
