The Hexham Road area has been neglected by the Labour council, but Greens have been working for improvements:
- Lobbied for youth workers and a tidy-up for Hexham Road Community Centre
- Pushed for Newcastle Road to be added to the resurfacing programme
- Reported issues with rubbish, rats and parking on the Hexham estate
