Rob White (Park ward councillor)

Councillor Rob White

Rob White, born in 1979, was elected in 2010 as Reading's first Green councillor. He wants to see a fairer, healthier, more affordable Reading. Formerly a software engineer, gardener and personal assistant, he joined the Green Party because of their principled stand against the illegal invasion of Iraq and for courageous action on climate change.

Rob lives in Newtown, East Reading. Working with other Green councillors, he has helped make Reading fairer; tackling poverty through getting the council to pay a living wage. He has improved care and helped make Reading healthier by getting the council to sign up to UNISON’s ethical care charter. Furthermore, he has made Reading greener and more affordable through championing insulation and renewables.

Rob says: "If you want a fairer, healthier, more affordable Reading. If you want policies for the common good. Get involved with the Green Party and make a difference."

Please contact Rob if there is anything he can do to help.
