The increase in the use of Waterloo Meadows and other green spaces has led to more waste, putting pressure on council services and resulting in overflowing bins and uncollected rubbish.
Green campaigner Kate Nikulina lives locally and shares residents' concerns about the state of Reading's green spaces. She said: "The amount of waste left in our parks is unsightly and poses a danger to public health. We've had a success lobbying for better bin provision. We are keen to ensure our shared spaces are properly cared for so that the whole community can enjoy them."
