Cllr Rob White says, "As the Council moves into yet another year with accounts not properly filed and increasing auditor fees, it’s clear that the cuts of the past ten years fell in the wrong place. The Council shouldn't waste another million pounds getting this right. Greens opposed cutting the finance team. We would invest in training and skills to make sure Reading's finances truly support people and the environment.
"The savings made by getting the basics right could pay for children's centres, fully open libraries, new leisure provision, or even more trees across every Ward."
As Government policies are adversely affecting more and more of us, there has never been a better time to get involved with the work of the Green Party.
