1 April 2019
Residents who want to vote in the up and coming Local Borough Council Elections have until midnight on Friday 12th April 2019 to register to vote. Any application made after that deadline will not be accepted.
Josh Williams, Green councillor and candidate at the upcoming council election said: "Green councillors and campaigners have been working hard year round to improve the town on everything from standing up for our public services to protecting our green spaces. To continue this good work we need to get more Greens on the council. Remember to register to vote if you have moved house recently and if you are going to be away on polling day then register for a postal vote. Vote Green on Thursday May 2nd."
The quickest and easiest way to register to vote on 2nd May 2019 is online at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
If you are unable to vote in person you could apply for a postal vote. More information can be found online https://www.yourvotematters.co.uk/how-do-i-vote/voting-by-post
If a resident wants to vote by post the Electoral Services Team has to receive completed and signed postal vote application forms by 5pm on Monday 15th April 2019 at the latest.
If a resident needs a paper application form, has any questions or is unsure whether they are registered they should contact the Council's Electoral Services Team by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0118 937 3717.
